Splash Valley Water Park

7415 Wood Haven Road

It's an outdoor aquatic facility featuring two 34-foot high slides, a current river, children's sprayground and more!  Operated by Roanoke County's department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism, this facility provides a great place to cool off during the summer months. Splash Valley Water Park is located directly adjacent to Roanoke County's Green Ridge Recreation Center, but requires a separate admission.

I was so impressed with the lifeguards! Each one patrols a certain area. They are constantly scanning the pool. And they were nice when kids accidentally did something they weren’t supposed to do. My 12yo and 8yo enjoyed themselves did my 42yo. 😂 We will definitely be back!

Disclaimer: I don't do the sun. Or water parks. But if I did, is being my kids and they would love it. We went for a superhero event. Very entertaining with music, tees, fun mini events, etc. The place was packed to capacity and it was 95 degrees at 7pm. The line outside was about 30 people deep, just waiting for people to leave. Tons of things for kids to play on in the water, slides, etc. There should be a more effective way to control capacity for people wanting to come, maybe timed ticket entries or something? Also maybe a misting area for parents? Altogether, it's a great place to get your white trash on!!!!

I was very impressed with your facility, I do have one thing that bothered me. I noticed a family behind me playing music on a radio, I read your policies on your website and it specifically says no speakers of any kind. I brought this to the attention of two staff members and by the time I left an hour later the music was still playing. Not that the music was bothering me, but I'm upset that the rules are different from your website and facility than are being enforced. I guess the next time I come I'll bring my boom box. I wanted to listen to my music today too.

We had such a fantastic time at Splash Valley! The food was pretty good and not expensive. Good family atmosphere. And the staff, such a pleasure. Lifeguards everywhere!

I thought it was great at Splash Valley. There's many activities to do, foods and beverages and its perfect for the kids. The only bad thing i noticed was that it was a bit small and over crowded but that's the only thing i noticed. If they could build more to the park I would give a 5 star raring but all in all great place to go when you wanna swim.
