The ship, captain and crew were all awesome. Tangier island is amazing; sitting in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay like a Pearl on the water. The hour and forty minute ride was comfortable and seemed short while taking in all the natural beauty surrounding the Bay. Thanks again for the great trip Captain.

This company's website says, "...running daily ferry trips to Tangier Island from Reedville, Va" and further says the 2017 schedule was from "May 6 - October 14". We were on a long-planned bicycle trip and were scheduled to cross from Tangier Island to Reedville on October 9. In double-checking with them a week earlier I was told, "The ferry is running as of now" and when I asked for elaboration was told it depended on the number of passengers and the weather because the season had ended Labor Day weekend, that we should call two days prior to double-check. When we did I was told the ferry was cancelled forcing us to greatly change our prearranged plans at the last minute. Very disappointing and it cost us a lost hotel deposit, though Tangier did at least promptly refund our ferry payment. I would strongly suggest Tangier Island Cruises modify their website stating something to the effect that ferry service is uncertain after Labor Day and also providing additional caveats for insufficient passengers, weather, and any other factors which may make the ferry service unreliable so people making plans using their website would not be put in the same untenable position we were. Such clarification would protect Tangier Island Cruises as well as their potential customers.

Boat ride was great, it was neat to see the island but not enough to do. Only restaurant open over-charged for the poor meal we got for the $$$ we paid! Also only ice cream store wasn't open on Sunday's, couldn't even get ice cream to fill us up after a measley meal. But, 5 stars for a great boat ride!

Crew on boat were super nice. Not too crowded the day we went. Plenty of room on the boat.
