One of the best parks in the DC metro area. Very well Incorporated into a wetland with beaver, muskrat, geese, water snakes, alligator snapping turtles, deer, the very rare otter, and much much more. It is a favored stop of migrating bird and so constantly has different assortments of bird through the seasons.

Not a bad place to go if you like wetland wildlife. My personal experience has been more wildlife activity in the morning hours. I love the boardwalks and observation tower.

Lovely preservation of nature while still making it accessible with wide trails and a building with lifelike displays. Great place to take the family to learn and interact with nature and sone people who really care about taking care of it.

Place had everything for a party, a shed that held trash bags, tables and chairs. The pavilion had electrical outlets, ceiling fans and well lit lighting. Posted instructions were clear for clean up and also had a clean usable grill area. A giant floor broom to clean up afterwards. Everyone had a great time and parking was relatively close. First time there and was well priced according to party hosts.

It is a beautiful park with wild life. You can walk around for hours and you will not get bored. You can watch birds or insects and enjoy the astonishing views.
