Our 3rd annual Sunflower Festival will be an experience you will remember forever! Viewing our 8 acres of sunflower fields, with over 200,000 blooms, and over 20 different varieties of flowers will be a new summer family tradition. While our sunflowers will be the star of the show, we will have 3 weekends jam-packed with activities, music, food, and fun you won’t want to miss. Enjoy all the festivities at Sinkland Sunflower Festival, unlike any other!
Listen to live music, explore local arts and crafts vendors, and tour the grounds through our walking trails. Even the pickiest eaters will find something to sink their teeth into with our wide variety of food trucks. Taste authentic southern barbeque, hand-dipped ice cream, and more. Grown-ups will enjoy a sampling of craft beer and wine. Picking a beautiful flower will be just the beginning of your day at the Sinkland Farms Sunflower Festival.
Whether you’re heading to the farm with kids and looking for a family-friendly experience or simply curious about the best, most colorful backdrop to take a few fun photos there’s something for all ages here.
Sinkland Farms continues to bring special recognition to Southwestern Virginia by being recently voted "Most Unique Festival" by Blue Ridge Outdoors magazine with a readership of over 350,000 across seven states along the Blue Ridge Mountains. Sinkland Farms is one of the most Instagram-able spots in Virginia this summer with its sea of sunflowers. Endless rows of towering yellow flowers, each turning their heads upward toward the sun and basking visitors in their warm gentle glow…..talk about the perfect end of summer day trip!

Activities:
Our Sunflower Festival will offer something for the whole family! This event will become a family tradition for sure!
Additional Sunflowers:
Pick additional sunflowers from our fields to add to your collection. 1 flower - $2.00, 6 flowers - $10.00, 10 flowers - $15. Be sure to check out our unique pail and bucket options available to purchase online with admission or at the gate. (while supplies last)
Zip line, giant slides and more!:
Fly through the air on our Kidz Zip Line. Trust us, you’ll want to zip WAY more than once! Or, take a ride down our giant slide. Parental supervision with kids attractions is required.
Live, Local Musicians:
From 5-8pm each festival day
Let talented, local bands charm you as you enjoy craft beer, wine, snacks and even dinner. Bands play during hours scheduled only, so don't miss out! Entertainment schedule is posted on the website and facebook.
Touch A Tractor:
Do you or your kids love large farm implements and want to see them up close? We will have tractors available for fun farm photo-ops! Due to Covid, the tractors will not be open to sit in, but they will be available to see up close.

Each Festival Day
With local food trucks setting up each festival day, there will be plenty of options to fit every member of your families taste buds. Prices vary by vendor.
Schedule:
4-8pm:
- Empanada Nirvana Roanoke - Authentic Puerto Rican food
- Giggles Crepe Stand Ittah - We will be offering sweet and savory French crepes (gluten free with vegan options) with plant based and mostly organic and sourced fillings. We will also offer a few of our specialty non-alcoholic mocktails
Face Painting:
Sublime Creations Entertainment is happy to bring color and sparkle to Sinkland Farms Sunflower Festival. Offering one of a kind Face Painting, Sparkle Station, Glitter Tattoos, Balloon Twisting and so much more! Prices vary
Kids Zone:
Endless activities for children of all ages will have your kids asking to come back and visit the Sinkland Farms Sunflower Festival each day!
General Admission $12 per ticket for adults. Children ages 4-12 $10 and kids 3 and under are free! Access Kidz Zone activities, walking trails and Sunflower fields included in Admission. There will also be food options available from local food trucks, craft beer and wine, and Ice Cream for sale.
Fun-Filled Fridays: 4-8p.m.
Fridays - $10 adult, $8 kids 4-12, $9 seniors/military/first responders, and free for children 3 and under.
