Enjoy an evening of family fun and fireworks along with patriotic music to celebrate our nation's founding.

The Mansion will be lit in red, white, and blue during this event.

Located at East Lawn

Fireworks and Live Music

Relax and enjoy a patriotic evening that includes dazzling fireworks and musical performances.

Fireworks over the Potomac will begin at approximately 9:15 p.m.

Enjoy concessions available for purchase on the East Lawn.

Outside food is not permitted on the estate.

The Mansion in Red, White, and Blue

The Mansion will be lit in red, white and blue during the fireworks show. Guests can photograph this patriotic scene as fireworks soar over the Mansion.

Visit the Blacksmith in the Historic Area.

General Washington will be in the Historic Area from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Mansion Tours

Purchase your ticket with a Mansion tour to see the home of the first President. Tickets without a Mansion tour are also available.

Wreath Laying at the Washington Tomb

6:45, 7:15, 7:45 & 8:15 p.m.

Walk down to visit the Washington Tomb for a special wreath-laying; this event is one of the few times this area is open in the evening.

The Fifes & Drums of York Town

6:30 p.m., 7 p.m., and 7:30 p.m.

Revel in the sounds of the 18th century and the music of Washington’s troops on the Bowling Green with performances by the talented Fifes & Drums of York Town.

National Concert Band

7:45 p.m. – 9:10 p.m.

Listen to a concert by the National Concert Band on the South Lawn.

Ice Cream-Making Demonstrations

Watch Mount Vernon's Historic Trades team perform 18th-century ice cream-making demonstrations on the Bowling Green.

18-Century Dancing

Watch and learn about 18th-century dancing in the Upper Garden from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Museum and Shops

Explore the Donald W. Reynolds Museum & Education Center exhibits and step into the shoes of the first president in the Be Washington Interactive Theater.

The Shops at Mount Vernon are open until 8:45 p.m.
